John Costello assists clients with matters in estate and trust administration, estate planning, and family office services. He joined The Trust Company from Porter Wright Morris & Arthur, LLP of Naples, FL, where he practiced law in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, and related litigation, and was recognized in 2020 by Naples Illustrated as a Top Lawyer in Trusts and Estates. John is a member of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar where he was a Fellow from 2014 through 2016, and currently serves on the Guardianship, Power of Attorney and Advanced Directives Committee and the Asset Protection Committee. He is a graduate of Class VI of the Florida Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), obtained his J.D. with Honors from Emory University School of Law, where he earned the Dean’s Award in Federal Wealth Transfer Taxation, and obtained his B.S. in Computer Science from Florida State University. John is a member of the Florida Bar and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
