The Tampa Bay Trust Company is hosting, “The History of Rock ‘n Roll – the Songs that Changed American Culture” presented by Louis P. Masur, professor and author at Rutgers University. This fun and informative multimedia presentation on the making and meaning of songs from the 50s through the 70s were essential to shaping rock ‘n’ roll and transforming American culture. From Chuck Berry and The Ronettes to The Beatles and Springsteen, this event promises to make you glad you came!
One of The Trust Company’s favorite speakers, Lou Masur, always captivates a crowd. His new program takes a completely different look at Rock ‘n Roll. As Distinguished Professor of American Studies and History at Rutgers University, he is the author of many books including several works on American leaders. Lou lectures at distinguished universities around the world, is a featured speaker at many think tank conferences, segments on major networks, and his essays appear in the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN and more.
