The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company and its board members recently demonstrated their support for future graduates of Florida Gulf Coast University at the 2017 President’s Scholarship Luncheon at the Hyatt Coconut Point in Estero.
Recipients were accompanied by their scholarship ambassadors at this celebratory luncheon where literally hundreds of scholarships were represented. The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company Business Scholarship Endowed Fund originally established by Founder and Chairman, Al Hanser and board member emeritus, Chip Lesch, was given to Lindsey Skaf of Cape Coral, a senior majoring in Finance.
John Schubert, board member emeritus of The Trust Company and wife, Donna proudly represented the Sanibel Captiva Trust/Schubert Scholarship Fund with their three recipients present: Edson Lopez-Jacobo, Graduate Level, Curriculum and Instruction; Stephanie Benedict, sophomore, majoring in Biology and Tony Guarino, junior, majoring in Finance.
Trust Company board member, Charles Ketteman, continues to serve on the FGCU Foundation Board of Trustees. He and his wife, Helen, created the Charles H. and Helen M. Ketteman STEM Scholarship Endowed Fund and this year’s recipient is Natashia Kinsey, Graduate Level, Forensic Studies.
The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company Founder and Chairman, Al Hanser said, “Quality education among our community’s children and young adults is one of The Trust Company’s top priorities when it comes to applying our philanthropic dollars. We are also extremely fortunate and proud to have such generous and committed board members in John and Chuck toward this mission.”
