Sanibel Captiva Trust Sponsors Event for Children’s Hospital

The Modern Gentleman, a Beatles tribute troop thrills guests at this year’s SanCap Cares gala.
Last Sunday evening was the 19th Annual SanCap Cares event held at The Sanctuary Golf Club on Sanibel, Florida. Many years ago the event began as a grass roots effort by residents of Sanibel-Captiva to help fund the building of a regional children’s hospital in Lee County. Today, the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida stands proud on the Lee Health medical campus in Fort Myers, FL.
The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company is honored to serve as Presenting Sponsor of this amazing local event bringing some 200 guests together. This year, rather than a traditional fundraiser, it served as a hearty “thank-you” to all those who have given so much of their time, expertise and of course, dollars.
Several booths were on display with examples of cutting-edge children’s treatment equipment, as well as the many ways the hospital is designed to keep up the spirits of patients and family members alike. The “Give-to-Give” was a tremendous success, helping to fund program and equipment needs.
Featured entertainment for the dinner dance was “The Modern Gentlemen,” a group of four talented vocalists known for their uncanny renditions of songs by The Beatles. They had the crowed jumping far into the night.
