The Naples Trust Company Team hosted two days of swamp buggy tours at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary for Trust Company clients and friends. This private half day tour consisted of an adventure that won’t soon be forgotten. After climbing a six foot ladder to board the buggy, the happy team entrusted themselves to their tour guide who drove them into the 13,000 acres of wilderness where they took in fields of sun flowers, banks of grasses amid flowing waters and towering Cypress trees. Not to mention Florida alligators sunning themselves and myriad species of birds, insects and other indigenous reptiles enjoying the expanse of marsh and fields. “My wife and I have been involved with Corkscrew for years,” said West, “and The Naples Trust Company is a fan as well. We take every opportunity to introduce our clients and friends to the “real” Florida.”
Healthy waters in and around Southwest Florida are important to The Trust Company, since The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company (flagship office) was founded on Sanibel Island in 2001. The sand dollar is at the center of their logo for this reason. To learn more about Audubon’s Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary visit www.corkscrew.audubon.org
