Naples Trust Announces Porter/McCann Appointments

The Naples Trust Company, a division of The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company has announced two strategic appointments – Billie Ann Porter, CFP®, CTFA will serve as Naples Trust Company President and West McCann, CFA will serve as Naples Market Executive. McCann said, “It has been a privilege to serve in this capacity for the last seven years, and I proudly pass the reigns to a talented leader in Billie Porter as I dedicate more time toward relationship and portfolio management for this growing business.”
Porter is highly respected by her peers and brings with her an established reputation in the trust and wealth management industry. “I’m honored to hold this position, working with such an accomplished and professional team who provide genuine care and expertise to our clients,” said Porter. She transitions to the role of President from her previous role as Senior Vice President, Senior Trust Officer. In addition to managing the market, she will continue with her trust officer responsibilities serving as an advisor to her clients, assisting with financial planning, estate plan reviews, and partnering with her clients’ trusted advisors. Earlier, she held the position of Vice President, Trust Administrator at FineMark National Bank & Trust, Estero, FL.
Porter obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Spanish from Cornell College, Mount Vernon, IA. She has a Master of Science in financial planning from California Lutheran University. She is a graduate of both the American Bankers Association’s National Graduate Trust School and the Florida Bankers Association’s Florida Graduate Trust School. She maintains two professional designations: Certified Trust & Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) | CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®).
Both Porter and McCann are dedicated to nonprofit organizations throughout Southwest Florida. Porter has served as Past President of the Lee County Estate Planning Council, SWFL Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Bonita Springs Assistance Office Board of Directors, and is a Graduate of Leadership Bonita (SWFL) 2013. McCann currently serves on the boards of Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, New Horizons of Southwest Florida, and Hope Hospice of Lee County.
