McArthur Joins Tampa Bay Trust Co.

Michael R. Dreyer, President of The Tampa Bay Trust Company announced today the addition of James McArthur, Senior Vice President to the Family Office Services team. As an established resident of Belleair, McArthur will dedicate his expertise to coastal area families and business owners from the company’s new location on West Bay Drive, which will be completed this May.
McArthur has 33 years of experience in management consulting, family office counseling, restructuring, special situations, turnarounds, and commercial finance. He is the founder of Southern Capital Advisors, a Florida based consulting firm serving leaders of closely held firms, investors, lenders, and family offices.
“James’s professional experience in privately held business consulting and family office aligns extremely well with the focus of The Tampa Bay Trust Company,” said Dreyer. “His knowledge will be an advantage to our clients both along the coast and throughout Tampa Bay.”
McArthur’s engagements include executive roles in CRO, CFO, and CEO capacities. He is a past president of the Florida Chapter of Turnaround Management Association (TMA), current board member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and Commercial Finance Association (CFA). He participates in panel discussions on various topics including restructuring, commercial finance, turnaround/crisis management, succession planning, and special situations. A graduate of Wofford College, McArthur and his wife, Connolly are active in the Tampa Bay community serving on various non-profit advisory boards.
