The Naples and Sanibel Captiva Trust Companies both recently hosted Roy Lenardson, President of Strategic Advocacy, for a presentation to their clients and guests, providing an overview of the recent Presidential and State elections.
Lenardson is a respected political strategist having served as Chief of Staff in the Maine Senate and manager of more than 100 campaigns. He brought focused, inside knowledge of campaign strategy and management to attendees, especially around the subject of polling; optimizing potential voter audiences and campaign innovation. He went on to talk about the differences in campaign approaches across the 2008, 2012 and 2016 US Presidential Elections, highlighting what was most effective and contributing to a candidate’s success.
“One of my main goals is to help voters be good consumers of the information they are receiving from multiple sources throughout a campaign,” said Lenardson. “Polling results, media and social media bombardment can be overwhelming, and there are ways to cut through the noise.”
“Given the sentiment and complexity of the elections this year, we felt the topic was timely,” said Al Hanser, Founder and Chairman of The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company. “It also reaffirmed our perspective that the financial markets are not singularly affected by election results, and that’s reassuring to investors.”
Lenardson builds and implements effective public strategies across the fields of government and business. Throughout his career, he has delivered an impressive series of wins for his clients in legislative, grassroots and political campaigns, and has served as a trusted counselor and effective advocate in government. He and his family reside in Ave Maria, Florida, while his work takes him throughout the country with Strategic Advocacy.
