Trust Company Guests Virtually Attend Berkshire Hathaway Event
Posted on May 5, 2016
The Naples Trust Company and The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company recently hosted the live streaming of the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting out of Omaha, NE. Each year the duo comprised of Chairman, Warren Buffett and Vice-Chairman, Charlie Munger conduct an extensive question and answer session for their shareholders, industry experts and media, covering all manner of investments and economic topics. Due to overwhelming popularity and the digital age, Mr. Buffett chose to open the meeting up to the globe by live streaming the event. The Trust Company held the session for intimate groups of clients and guests who filled our Naples and Sanibel board rooms to view the day-long event.
Trust Company Senior Portfolio Manager, Tim Vick, is a faithful attendee at the annual conference, however, this year he chose to stay in southwest Florida and bring the event to our guests. During the lunch break, a separate webcast was held between the two markets, so our guests could ask questions of Tim regarding Warren Buffett, Berkshire Hathaway and other investment topics. Mr. Buffett’s favorite refreshments were on hand for all to enjoy, including See’s Candies, DQ Dilly Bars and Coco-Cola, all of which Berkshire Hathaway has ownership. The book, “How to Pick Stocks Like Warren Buffett,” authored by Tim, was provided to all guests in the Naples and Sanibel offices.
“It is our pleasure to provide unique experiences like this for our clients to enjoy,” said Carol Boyd, President, The Naples Trust Company. “The added value is having interested attendees around the board room table who have an exchange of ideas with each other, as well as our portfolio management experts.”
