New Office Opens on Sanibel Island
Posted on March 11, 2024
The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company announced that it has opened its new office on Sanibel Island. Located at 2450 Periwinkle Way, the office opened to the public on Wednesday, March 13.
Construction on the new location originally began in 2021, but was put on hold in late 2022 due to Hurricane Ian; work resumed earlier this year. A move into the renovated office building, formerly home to Bank of America, was planned before Hurricane Ian damaged the company’s original Sanibel-Captiva office on Palm Ridge Road.
The new building will serve the company’s clients and staff, and features spacious conference rooms and a distinctive outdoor patio. It will be functional, welcoming and support the company’s continued growth as they add new clients and staff alike.
“We’re thrilled to be back home on Sanibel Island,” said Founder and Chairman S. Albert D. Hanser. “After nearly two years of construction, and delays resulting from Hurricane Ian, we are excited to welcome both new and familiar faces to the new space.”
“We hope this new office can be another shining example of the recovery and resiliency of the islands, and how The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company continues to serve our island community,” said Sanibel office president Jeffrey Muddell, MBA, CFP®.
Architect Joyce Owens, FAIA, RIBA, owner of Architecture Joyce Owens LLC and Studio AJO for interior design, created a sophisticated, tropical atmosphere inspired by nature that allows visitors to have a comfortable and pleasurable experience. She designed The Trust Company’s original Sanibel Island office and other locations as well as the new Fort Myers office at Bell Tower due to open shortly.
